Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza: If you are looking for a fun, fast-paced and highly addictive card game that can liven up any gathering, Aarthi recommends ‘Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza’. It’s a spoken word game with fairly simple instructions meant for 2-8 players (aged eight and above). Your aim is to quickly get rid of your cards by slapping hands on the cards or by doing silly gestures. Each round may last for about ten minutes. Be warned: there will be a lot of laughter involved. It's perfect for all ages and therefore family get-togethers. The game is available in both Hindi and English for Rs 599 on Amazon.
Mi Portable Air Compressor: Road trips are all fun and games until someone has a flat tyre. Sooraj’s search for a tyre inflator that doesn’t take up half the car boot ended with this sleek little contraption from Xiaomi. It’s got a digital display, different modes (and nozzle attachments) to inflate car/bicycle tyres or sports items like basketballs, and USB C charging. The only downsides of its compact design are that it runs exclusively on battery, has a short tube, and takes a little longer to inflate than bigger alternatives. The Mi Air Compressor is a worthy addition to your toolkit, especially if you bike, play ball, or frequently go off on long trips where ‘puncher shops’ may be few and far between:) It’s available on Amazon for Rs 2,999, but you might get a better deal on the Mi website. Postcards from Daakvaak: Nirmal enjoys collecting postcards and sending them. Whenever he can’t think of a gift for a friend’s birthday, or a special occasion, he goes old school, sending postcards. Daak is a collective that curates and shares unknown stories, artworks and ideas from the subcontinent’s cultural heritage. One of the ways they do this is with beautiful postcard collections (sets of 10 or 20) across different themes including poetry around love and friendship, stunning artworks from our history, and some brilliant South Asian women’s stories. So if you’ve been looking for a thoughtful gift, Daak’s postcards are available on their website and the prices range anywhere from Rs 400 - 600 for a set of 10 or 20 postcards.
