Minnie Mouse has released an album. It’s a lo-fi hip hop collection of “beats to study to.” Now, we are generally averse to cheery, child-happy tunes but this is something interesting. Low-fidelity music, or lo-fi, is recorded with imperfections like vinyl crackle, misplayed notes or environmental noises like turning pages or raindrops—and it is supposed to help with relaxation and concentration. We’re not entirely sold but you may want to test whether this version of ‘Hakuna Matata’ works on you—or, more usefully, your overactive spawn lol! BBC News has more on the album.
