A list of intriguing things
One: Ok, this is more in the realm of ‘jaw-dropping’ than ‘intriguing’—a Chinese Shaolin kung fu drill captured by satellites. It is the oldest and most famous style of Chinese martial arts—and here is BBC Earth footage both from the ground and from space.
Two: We have a real weakness for absurd and absurdly overpriced fashion collabs. So we just couldn’t resist this Manolo Blahnik X Birkenstock wonder with velvet and crystals. What’s not to laugh at? (Wall Street Journal or Harper’s Bazaar)
Three: The 2022 Crystal Cabin Awards recognise the coolest airline cabin designs that may well define the future of travel. We are intrigued by this "Floating" cabin that is attached to the side wall and not the floor—and has an intriguing Japanese feel to it. See the others on the shortlist over at CNN Travel.
Four: We had no idea that there were transparent frogs—leave alone 159 species of them! FYI: two new ones have been recently discovered in Ecuador. You can literally see through these “glass” creatures—and look at “a completely transparent belly revealing a red heart, a textured white liver and digestive system, and, in the females, a pouch of greenish eggs.” See an astonishing example below.
