Explore our children's and young adult book collection!
At Champaca, we have an ever-growing pile of children's books that we regularly dip into for respite on hectic days. As part of our #ChampacaReadingChallenge, we also ended up revisiting some of our childhood favourites! It was a highly enjoyable experience that made us realise that children's books manage to pack in a ton of emotion in the simplest of ways.
‘Little Bear’s Spring’ by Elli Woollard and Briony May Smith is a vivid tale that is an ode to friendship. As the illustrations and the lyrical story take us through the colours of spring, it also serves as a reminder for how wonderful the natural world is.
‘Homecoming’ by Aaniya Asrani is an insightful picture book about Tibetan refugees living in Bylakuppe. The book explores what it means to live a life in exile and reflects on what home and belonging mean.
For fans of ‘Alice's Adventures in Wonderland’, we have a beautiful Penguin clothbound collectible edition in stock. If you love this sparkling tale of a girl lost in Wonderland with magical cakes, potions, and chaotic tea parties—this is a collector’s edition that you must have!
We also have many titles by the wonderful Judy Blume! One of our favourites is ‘Are You There, God? It's Me, Margaret’, a book about a young girl who's having a hard time after moving away from her childhood home. She has to navigate a new school environment and make new friends, while she constantly feels inadequate and confused about the changes in her body.
At Champaca, we believe there’s no age limit on who gets to enjoy children’s books. Pick up something off our shelves and revisit your childhood!
