This week marked the 100th birth anniversary of Sayed Haider Raza who was one of India’s greatest modernist painters—famous for his “engagement with nature and the landscape, and his mastery of colour.” While he is best known for his more abstract work—see ‘Tapovan’—we adore his landscapes, like this stunning view of Benaras.
