A list of intriguing food things
One: What do you get when you marry state-of-the-art 3D technology with a very expensive meal at the Ritz? An “immersive table-projected dining experience” that looks like this. FYI, Eater is not impressed, but we think it’s pretty cool.
Two: Oscar Mayer—best known for hawking slices of bologna—pulled off a very odd marketing feat. The company paired up with Korean beauty brand Seoul Mamas to create face masks with witch hazel botanical and seaweed-derived ingredients. All this so you can look like you slapped a slice of lunch meat on your face. Guess what? They’ve already sold out. (USA Today)
Three: Last not least, an eatery in Osaka, Japan, has given a whole new twist to a bowl of hot piping ramen. It is served with an entire ice cream cone on top. Oh, the ice cream is a combo of chocolate and vanilla. And if you really want to up the ante, you can order this delicious dish with a side of fried rice. This is the successor to their last inspired creation which combined ramen with cotton candy. FYI: The restaurant is called Franken—inspired by Frankenstein, no doubt. (MotherShip)
