The hasty pace of life in Mumbai makes me realise the importance of adding self care and mindfulness to my lifestyle. Here are a few things that I have included in my routine—and I am sharing them in the hope that they'll add some value or joy to yours!
Insight Timer: is a mindfulness meditation app. I find it very useful because even on a busy day, I can choose a short meditation session to quickly feel grounded or rejuvenated—it also helps me sleep. You can choose from its options of guided meditations, sleep music and more.
Lunette Menstrual Cup: This alternative to tampons and pads has really changed my life—as it has for so many others, I'm sure! It makes everything easier—travelling, working out, sleeping—and almost makes you forget about Aunt Flo. I've tried three brands and the Lunette cup is the best. Here’s a pro tip: cutting off and shortening the stem makes it more comfortable.
Gel Eye Mask: I often wear an eye mask to sleep because I have dry eyes, but only recently tried one with a gel pad so I could heat it in the microwave and use it as a warm compress. And oh! What a treat it is for the eyes—the warmth feels really comfortable and works to protect them from dryness.
Here's To You: by Easy Wanderlings. This is a very cute song by a Pune-based independent band. It's my go-to song for when I want to feel good—and I also used to play it during the 2020 lockdown when I needed the motivation to do jhaadu pochha :)
