A list of intriguing things
One: Post Malone has got himself a pair of bedazzled fangs—an approximately six-karat stone set on each tooth, which cost a staggering $1.6 million. And embedding a giant diamond into one tooth (aka a “full diamond tooth”) is a teeny bit wasteful, according to his dentist:
“In order to make a diamond in the shape of a tooth—for example, if you get a six-carat canine tooth, you need a 12-carat raw cube. So there’s a lot of waste...That diamond, they could have got three or four other diamonds out of it, so we had to waste it in order to get it into shape.”
You can check out Postie with his new fangs here, but we far prefer this creepy simulation of his teeth provided by his dentist here:
Two: We are intrigued by a new Indian game on Steam called Venba—a cooking-based narrative game where you play an Indian immigrant mother in 1980s Canada, cooking for her assimilated son—and more importantly her relationship with him. More background here. Promo below:
Three: Rogan is the Persian word for castor oil—which is also the material used to craft exquisite pieces of artwork. It is over 400 years old and only one family still practices this lost artform. Watch a lovely (and sad) Business Insider report below:
Four: Last but not least, since it is Pride Month, say hello to the blanket octopus which sports a giant rainbow cape—and will hurl a jellyfish tentacle at you if it gets pissed off. FYI: “Males are about the size of a walnut—less than an inch long—but some females can reach a whopping six feet long. They can also weigh up to 40,000 times more than males.”
