So you wanna watch something...
Jupiter’s Legacy: Listen up superhero lovers: this is a new series based on the graphic novels of our favourite writer Mark Millar. The series follows the children of first-generation superheroes burdened by the legacies of their parents. Or to put it in The Verge’s word: “an intergenerational conflict between a team of superheroes and their potentially less heroic children.” It starts streaming on Netflix today.
Milestone (Meel Patthar): This film won best movie at the Singapore film festival. Directed by Ivan Ayr, the plot revolves around a truck driver coping with the loss of wife. Lead actor Suvinder Vicky also scored the Silver Screen award for best performer. So it comes highly recommended! Available on Netflix.
Mine: Starring Lee Bo-young and Kim Seo-hyung, this is the story of two daughters-in-law—who’ve married into a powerful family—navigating their privileged but gendered roles as they figure out what is ‘mine’. It drops on Netflix tomorrow.
