Dive In

A sweet and engaging story and a visually stunning film, ‘Kummatty’ is a must-see, especially since it has been largely unavailable outside of India until now.

That’s what the legendary director Martin Scorcese wrote on Insta—while sharing a still from the 1979 movie directed by G Aravindan. The film has been carefully restored by Scorcese’s World Cinema Project—in partnership with the Film Heritage Foundation and Italy-based Cineteca di Bologna. The Hindu has more on the film. The News Minute has more on the significance of the film and Aravindan.

The most recent change was the introduction of a common entrance exam for colleges. We take a look at the NEP in the first of this series.
