Dive In

Racist behaviour at @Edgbaston towards Indian fans in block 22 Eric Hollies. People calling us Curry C**ts and paki bas****s. We reported it to the stewards and showed them the culprits at least 10 times but no response and all we were told is to sit in our seats.

That’s a tweet by an Indian fan at the fifth Test match between India and England—which set off a huge uproar. The local police have launched an investigation. Also, the local Warwickshire cricket chief said: “Any form of abuse isn’t acceptable in life or sport. So I’m angry about the fact that people think it’s acceptable at an international cricket event and apologise for the distress it’s caused.”

Part 2 will look at the trial.
