In pursuit of a good night’s sleep
A good night's sleep is one of those goals everyone aims for but few actually crack. Work, stress, screens, kids, life—there's always something getting in the way.
From pyjamas that feel like second skin, tea that soothes, bed linen that breathes and stays in place, and even the right kind of white noise for city living—this is a list of helpful hacks for restful nights and even better mornings that your future well-rested self will thank you for.
01 Blue Phool Blockprinted Loungewear Pyjama Set
We first spotted the pyjama bottoms from this set in a block-printed marigold design on Kalki Koechlin in an Insta story. (She'd styled them with a tank for what looked like a casual day look). On tracking the set to the brand's website, we found that particular design was sold out in most sizes. But we happily stumbled upon this equally pretty blue one available in sizes from XS to 5XXL. Comfortable sleepwear tops our list of must-haves when it comes to good sleep and this hand-made, hand-blockprinted, 100% cotton, relaxed-fit pyjama set definitely makes the cut. (It even has pockets.)
02 Linen Pyjamas (Men, Oatmeal)
While March Tee is famous for their premium tees, they also have a 'Home' collection for men with tees, linen pyjamas and boxers. These soft, breathable linen-blend pyjamas come in two lengths and 3 colourways, with a relaxed fit and a comfortable elasticated waistband. This oatmeal in particular looks perfect for rolling out of bed and into slow mornings, afternoon naps on the couch, or even quick coffee runs—and looking good while you do all of it.
Did you know dark chocolate naturally contains magnesium which has been linked to improved sleep? Well, now we all happily do. These vanilla-bourbon-flavoured, sugar-free dark chocolates from Caim by Arelang are made with a mix of walnut, nutmeg, passion flower, valerian, and St. John’s Wort, all ingredients known to calm the mind and support deep sleep. What makes them special is that they skip synthetic melatonin and instead help your body produce its own, so you wake up rested, not groggy. We like having one after dinner as a tiny bedtime ritual, part treat, part supplement. If only all health products came in a chocolate avatar…
