A special invite for ladies who lead!
Written by: Lakshmi Chaudhry, Founder/Editor, Splainer Media
First, meet our partner: Ladies Who Lead is a brilliant members-only platform whose mission is to nurture the careers of women leaders. There are a number of networking organisations for women but what makes LWL special is the passion and dedication of its founder Aabha Bakaya. A leading business journalist, she has created a unique and valuable members-only circle of like-minded women in positions of power who want to pay it forward. LWL offers a variety of events each month across cities—including high value workshops, arts & culture mixers and intimate conversations with the biggest names in India Inc. Since its launch in Sep 2021, Ladies Who Lead has grown to 700 members, with members across 6 cities and 30 industries.
Full disclosure: I am a member—and personally swear by it:). Here’s what I most appreciate: the platform seamlessly combines professional learning with personal connection. Each time I attend one of LWL’s events, I connect with a set of highly talented women and get a front-row seat to intimate conversations with some of the biggest names in India Inc. A recent favourite was one with Zerodha founder Nithin Kamath—who was wonderfully insightful and disarmingly candid.
Next, the lunch: Splainer and LWL are co-hosting a wonderful evening of food & conversation at LUPA—the hottest haute cuisine destination in Bangalore right now. Interact with LUPA's Founder Manu Chandra over cocktails and canapes. Manu is a global culinary wunderkind, he has built a string of successful properties—from Fatty Bao to Monkey Bar and Toast & Tonic. Also a big bonus: connecting with all those talented women I was talking about. Of course, the fab curated dinner menu and cocktails won’t hurt either:) The event deets are below:
Date/Time: May 24, 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM
Location: LUPA, Ground Floor, Spencer’s Towers, No. 86, MG Road, Bangalore
Limited seats: To keep it intimate, the guest list is small. We only have around 20 spots to offer. So we’ve created a form for you to give us your name, designation and company—plus (this is important) what you hope to gain from the event. We want to make sure we offer this to women leaders who will get the most out of the afternoon:)
Splainer X LWL partnership: This is the first in a series of events we will be co-hosting in Bangalore. Coming up soon: a convo with Mukesh Bansal. FYI: these are members-only conversations and discussions that are exclusively open to the women leaders in the splainer family. We are also offering a splainer-only 40% discount on LWL membership for our subscribers. Fill this special form created for splainer subscribers.
Something to remember: LWL has its own vetting process for membership approval—which is also what makes it so valuable.
