In honour of the many American women who have lost their constitutional right to an abortion, we offer this painting by famous surrealist painter Kay Sage—titled ‘Tomorrow is Never’. Of her paintings, Gelly Gryntaki wrote: “Looking at them is like having a disturbing dream; it’s deeper than pure melancholy or gloomy apathy, rather an indiscernible sense of vulnerability and risk.” And this bleak landscape is perhaps the perfect symbol of what America must look like to many of its citizens today. FYI: Our first choice was this compelling portrait but it doesn’t work in our template.
