A list of intriguing things
One: The hottest trend in concept car design is reviving and retrofitting old models as electric vehicles. Hyundai just unveiled Grandeur Heritage EV which reboots an 80s-era model—and with great style. TBH, we are most impressed with the awesome interiors which include four lounge chairs clad in velvet! Car & Driver have more on the car—which sadly won’t be available on the market. Watch the promo below.
Two: Azerbaijani artist Faig Ahmed reworks traditional carpets into fantastical pieces of art—like this piece titled ‘Doubts’ that seems to dissolve into a puddle. MyModernMet has more of his work if you’re interested.
Three: We don’t typically recommend listicles, but this video rounding up the most expensive architectural disasters makes for fascinating viewing.
Four: This is the dragon tree—found on the Canary Islands—and its red resin has long been used for everything from beauty products to cures for sexually transmitted diseases. JSTOR Daily has more on its history and mythology—including an Indian fable! We just like it because it looks so cool!
