A list of intriguing things
One: Kate Spade’s top-selling bag—"Picnic Pineapple Crossbody"—looks like a pineapple and costs $348. Please, for that kind of money, we won’t settle for anything less than an alphonso tote. Sadly, there are none. We googled.
Two: Say hello to Malai—bio-composite material made from coconuts in Kerala. Basically, it is created by using bacterial cellulose grown on waste coconut water—to make really pretty and sustainable stuff like this. Scale Magazine explains. (h/t founding member Sindhu Nair)
Three: The latest innovation in pandemic-friendly airline design is ‘Pure Skies’—“which includes upholstery that changes color when sanitized with UV light, so that passengers know their seat is clean upon arrival. Once the seat is used again, it returns to its original color.” Washington Post rounds up other leading innovators who may define the future of airline travel.
Four: A very cool optical illusion (we haven’t done one of these in a while). What’s neat about this one: Neither cube is actually moving.
