That’s Tri Teguh Pujianto—the first gay Indonesian policeman to sue the country’s police force for wrongful dismissal due to sexual orientation. He was fired in 2018 when the police apprehended him while off-duty at a Valentine’s Day celebration with his partner. It will be the first such case in Indonesia where homosexuality is not illegal but is considered a taboo subject.
