We’ve been meaning to include this awesome, awesome trailer of ‘Polite Society’ for over a week—but it keeps getting lost in the shuffle. This is the debut film of Brit-Pakistani director Nida Manzoor and tells a delightfully goofy story of Ria—who’s busy dreaming of becoming a stunt actor until her sister falls madly in love and decides to get married. Determined to save her from this ‘Jane Austen’ fate, Ria leaps into action—with what look like hilarious results. The movie got a warm reception when it was released at Sundance—despite a somewhat muddled plot:) We can’t wait for it to come to a streaming platform close to us.
