Earlier this month, as the world celebrated Cartoonists’ Day (May 5), we thought of Mario Miranda. He was one of the great Indian artists of the 20th century—and was often the first one we encountered as children! Remember the Bal-Bharti textbooks from Class I? All those illustrations were Miranda’s work.
