A list of curious facts
One: Goldman Sachs has its very own font called Goldman Sans—which is “approachable without being whimsical.” Or mostly boring, claim many designers. Of course, now people are using it to make fun of them.
Two: Once upon a time, you could travel from London to Calcutta on a double decker bus. It started in 1957 and dutifully made 15 trips until 1976—when it was finally shelved. The good news: The ‘Bus to London’ is being revived by an adventure travel company, except it will run between London and Delhi. You too can travel through 18 countries, and across 20,000 km in 70 days—and relive a bit of history. See the photo of the original single-decker below. Or check out the modern version here.
Three: Crop tops are back in fashion…for men. The Guardian has lots to say on the matter. We, OTOH, are speechless.
Four: Tokyo is showcasing see-through public toilets as part of a campaign to combat their image as dirty and smelly. Yes, they turn opaque when you lock the door.
