Dive In

I wanted to become a big politician. I consider myself a true patriot. I found Owaisi’s speeches harmful to the nation. In my head, I had developed an enmity with him.

That’s the explanation offered by one of the men who tried to shoot and kill Lok Sabha MP and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi at a Uttar Pradesh tollgate. Owaisi escaped unharmed—much to the surprise of his two assailants who had tried to assassinate him on three other occasions. Those attempts were called off due to large crowds.

Good stuff to check out: On Saturday, comedian Aditi Mittal hosted a very fun and lively splainer AMA with Shrayana Bhattacharya, author of ‘Desperately Seeking Shah Rukh’. Be sure to check it out on our YouTube channel—where you can find all our previous AMAs.
