Dive In

Recent reports of civilian killings in Bucha are deeply disturbing. We unequivocally condemn these killings and support the call for an independent investigation.

That’s the Indian representative at the UN making the strongest statement yet on the invasion of Ukraine—at a Security Council meeting called to discuss the killings in Bucha (See: our Big Story). At the same meeting, President Zelenskyy gave an impassioned speech calling for action—and insisted that video footage of the bodies be played for the members. Moscow called the evidence “a false flag attack” whose aim “brings back the nightmares of the Nazi crimes during the Second World War.”

An AMA with Vir Sanghvi! He is the best-known Indian journalist of his generation who is brilliantly insightful on everything from politics to culture to food. His new book ‘A Rude Life’ offers a rare front-row view of India by an author who often had a front-row seat to its most momentous times. So get ready to ask him all your burning questions this weekend! The time/day: Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 6:30pm. Be sure to sign up for your slot here
