Dive In

Here’s the thing with girls 22 or under, they smell massively different to a girl of 28. Girls aged 16 to, say 23, have this buttery, creamy, slightly sweet smell that is unbelievably magnetic.

That’s what Conservative party candidate Jonty Campbell recently tweeted out—and was rightly condemned for it in the UK. This kind of outright creepy rhetoric comes on the heels of a string of sexual scandals within the party. One MP was recently found guilty of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy—while another has been arrested on suspicion of rape.

It’s party time! Splainer and our partner, the independent bookstore Champaca, are throwing a joint birthday bash this Saturday in Bangalore. The Knowhere bar is one of our favourite places in the city—with a lovely vibe. Come raise a drink and meet the team and some excellent folks. We’d love to see you there. Since spaces are limited, please sign up over here. It also helps give us a ballpark head count.

Time/ Date: Saturday, May 28 at 4:30 pm

Venue: Knowhere, 15, Favourite Plaza, Dodda Banaswadi Main Rd, Cooke Town. See the Google Map here.

Also this: We recently launched a crowd-sourced version of I Recommend—because everyone needs advice when they have stuff to buy.
